Principal Technician - ASIC

Responsibilities

• Build and test new product evaluation boards
• Troubleshoot and repair evaluation boards and customer project boards
• Design and build test fixtures for specific test setups
• Program ICs using programming machines or manual fixtures
• Arrange and maintain calibration records for test equipment

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent trade-school experience
• Strong knowledge of passive and active components and simple analog/digital circuits
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment including DMM, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, and Network Analyzer
• Proficiency in SMT soldering, specifically with power components
• Strong computing skills using Microsoft Office for documentation
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural, cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout tools such as Allegro
• Experience working with power management ICs and power supplies
• Experience with automation of test equipment, ovens, or thermal chambers
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C#, or C++
