Principal Technical Architect

Responsibilities

• Define architectural frameworks, delivery standards, and technical methodologies for the Services Delivery organization
• Own the development of technical practices in domains such as AI/ML, data platforms, and cloud migration
• Engage directly with complex, strategic customer opportunities to provide principal-level technical guidance
• Advise C-level and senior executive stakeholders on platform architecture and AI strategy
• Mentor senior architects and technical leads to raise the technical ceiling of the team
• Represent Snowflake's technical depth through conference presentations and industry forums
• Drive adoption of AI-native delivery practices within the organization

Requirements

• BA/BS in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of experience in senior technical architecture or data platform consulting
• Deep hands-on Snowflake experience including platform governance and multi-cloud deployment
• Expertise in the AI/ML lifecycle, MLOps, and generative AI architectures
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for architecting and reviewing production systems
• Proven ability to influence product strategy and organizational direction
• Experience engaging C-level audiences on complex technology decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Published technical work or recognized industry contributions in data or AI/ML
• Experience building or scaling a technical practice or Center of Excellence
• Advanced cloud certifications (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure Professional levels)
• Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Certifications
• Background in a principal or distinguished engineer role at a product-led company
