Principal Tech Lead Manager - Organizations & Data Acquisition

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the technical architecture for the Organization Platform, including APIs, domain validation, and business onboarding services.
• Own the architecture and operational strategy for the Data Acquisition & Normalization platform, managing source connectors and normalization pipelines.
• Champion API-first and platform-first design principles to ensure services are developer-friendly and interoperable.
• Drive roadmap delivery by setting priorities, removing blockers, and ensuring high-quality software releases.
• Build a team culture centered on technical rigor, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers to develop the next generation of technical leaders.
• Serve as a technical bridge between Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Security teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience in an engineering management or tech lead manager capacity leading teams of 5–10+ engineers.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating secure, scalable backend APIs and distributed systems.
• 5+ years of experience building and operating data pipelines, API integrations, or ETL/normalization systems at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Deep familiarity with data privacy, security, and compliance for sensitive organizational data.
• Experience with organization identity, business verification, or entity attribute platforms.
• Familiarity with data acquisition patterns such as screen scraping, REST/SOAP integrations, and batch data flows.
• Experience with AI-driven validation or classification systems in production pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, and enterprise SSO.
• Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
