Principal Tech Lead Manager - Data Platform & Reliability Engineering

Responsibilities

• Own Data Infrastructure & Reliability, focusing on PostgreSQL and graph database performance and scale
• Drive SRE practices including clustering, replication, failover, and disaster recovery
• Optimize platform services for query latency, throughput, and cross-region availability
• Lead engineering execution by setting priorities and removing operational blockers
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers
• Partner with Security and Compliance to enforce data governance and regulatory compliance (FedRAMP, NIST, GDPR)
• Champion AI-first practices for automated testing and incident analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of software or infrastructure engineering experience
• 3+ years in engineering management or tech lead manager capacity
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, site reliability, or platform engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading software development or feature teams
• Hands-on experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune)
• Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming pipelines (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis)
• Background in highly regulated industries like FinTech, HealthTech, or GovTech
• Deep expertise in managing large-scale production PostgreSQL clusters
• Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm
