About the role
Responsibilities
- Architect systems for Bare-Metal-as-a-Service (BMaaS) delivering raw GPU throughput via InfiniBand/RDMA fabrics
- Design optimized virtualization layers using KVM or custom micro-VMs
- Build high-performance container substrates utilizing Kubernetes or Slurm
- Lead architectural design of internal cloud fabric including SR-IOV and virtualized GPU scheduling
- Lead R&D workstreams to prototype novel memory, networking, and compute management methods
- Draft technical white papers and RFCs defining the compute and networking stack
- Resolve complex race conditions in the I/O path and optimize kernel-level memory pinning
- Represent the company in open-source communities and industry forums
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience designing core infrastructure at a major hyperscaler or HPC cloud
- Authoritative knowledge of Linux kernel and virtualization internals (KVM, QEMU, Firecracker)
- Expertise in high-performance networking (RoCE v2, InfiniBand)
- Proven ability in hardware-software co-design for NVIDIA/AMD GPUs and high-speed NICs
- Experience leading cross-functional R&D teams through high-ambiguity projects
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Patents related to network virtualization, GPU scheduling, or distributed file systems
- Maintainer status or significant contributions to Linux Kernel, Kubernetes, or HPC projects
- Experience optimizing infrastructure for LLM training and inference at scale
- Peer-reviewed publications at top systems venues (OSDI, SOSP, NSDI, SC)
