Principal Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering assessments of end user architectures and system administration solutions
• Administer Windows, VMWare, and Desktop-based systems
• Collaborate with network, storage, and server personnel to define solutions for complex problems
• Respond to requests for new systems to meet capacity and user requirements
• Install and administer user desktops for critical user-access systems
• Assess end user computer architectures for optimizing resource management and allocation
• Optimize system operation and resource utilization and perform capacity analysis
• Configure and manage Windows operating systems and VMWare
• Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components

Requirements

• TS/SCI with a Polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related discipline plus 15 years of systems engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level I or higher
• Experience with Windows operating systems and VMWare
• Ability to formulate technical strategies and build action plans
