Principal Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation
• Organize and lead Development, Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification Testing
• Manage the cost and schedule of the solutions you lead
• Drive conversations with decision-makers and recommend courses of action for complex problems
• Lead business capture by identifying technological gaps and opportunities
• Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, and executive leadership

Requirements

• STEM degree with at least 8 years of relevant experience (or an Advanced Degree with 5 years, or 12 years of relevant experience)
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams including Electrical, Mechanical, Software, and Test engineers
• Extensive experience across the Systems Engineering V with an emphasis on integration and test
• Experience writing and reviewing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
• Practical experience in at least three areas: Systems, Test, Software, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Active and transferable U.S. Government DoD Top Secret Security Clearance
• Experience with voice communication systems and VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, SRTP)
• Familiarity with multicast networking (IGMP, PIM)
• Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, UDP) and troubleshooting tools like Wireshark
• Knowledge of military specifications such as MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461
