Principal Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of full lifecycle solutions from CONOPS to Validation
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the discipline, providing advanced technical knowledge
• Oversee and perform lab activities including definition, setup, configuration management, and testing
• Ensure Modeling, Hardware, and Software Interfaces utilize a scalable ontology
• Manage the entrance and exit criteria of Design Reviews, Integration, Dry Run, and Formal Qualification Testing
• Coach, review, and delegate work to lower-level professional engineers
• Support system trade studies, requirements analysis, and allocation to subsystems
• Analyze and document system behaviors and manage moderately sized projects or processes

Requirements

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET security clearance required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required
• STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree
• Strong integration and test experience, including procedure development, execution, reporting, and automation
• Knowledge of or application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
• Proficiency with Microsoft products and tasking boards such as Jira or IBM EWM

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Communication Radio and Systems (SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, AEHF, PTW, or V/UHF)
• Experience in Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT)
• Proficiency with modeling tools including CAMEO or Rhapsody
• Experience in proposal support and writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs)
• Experience in System Level Integration, Verification, and Validation (IV&V) for ground, ship, submarine, or airborne platforms
• Experience in Virtual Machine design and deployment
