Principal Systems Engineer - Agile Solution Train Engineer

Responsibilities

• Steer large-scale solution alignment and value delivery across multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the ESSM program
• Manage and optimize the flow of value using tools such as Program and Value Stream Kanban
• Facilitate program-level solution train events, execution, metrics, and tools
• Coach and educate leaders, agile roles, and teams in Lean-Agile culture, practices, and mindsets
• Drive continuous improvement and dependency resolution across the entire value stream
• Manage program execution, risk identification, and impediment escalation
• Facilitate incremental Program Planning and ensure readiness of vision and work item backlogs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience
• Experience working within an Agile organization
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary technical or engineering teams
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance (Secret) required on day 1

Preferred Qualifications

• Scaled Agile certification (e.g., SAFe SPC) or equivalent
• Prior experience as a Release Train Engineer, Value Stream Engineer, Scrum Master, or Product Owner
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
• Mastery of Agile ALM tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps Server
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) or Agile EV
