Principal Systems Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own module design, API contracts, and backward compatibility for system interfaces
• Improve test automation, code coverage, and release health metrics
• Optimize runtime performance and troubleshoot production incidents
• Provide technical leadership through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Design and implement critical services and lead complex refactors

Requirements

• 8+ years of related experience in systems development
• Ability to deliver resilient, maintainable system modules in enterprise environments
• Strong CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices for platform code
• Experience implementing safety, security, and compliance requirements in code
• Clear communication of technical decisions and trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or equivalent platform certification
