Principal Systems Developer – Kernel

Responsibilities

• Compose elegant, efficient, reliable and maintainable source code in C and C++
• Analyze, develop and optimize algorithms and data structures for memory and storage efficiency
• Analyze concurrency control and memory ordering issues for shared memory structures
• Maintain and extend the embedded ObjectScript programming language
• Enhance interactions with modern operating systems and hardware devices
• Develop and maintain database management APIs
• Debug complex problems and develop test code
• Compose internal design documentation

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience developing low-level system code for mission-critical software
• Proficiency in C or C++
• Knowledge of computer architecture, operating systems, and concurrency control
• Understanding of compiler and interpreter methods
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with assembly language
