About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and RHEL enterprise environments within a mission-critical, 24x7x365 classified environment.
- Manage Windows and Linux patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities, including STIG implementation and SCAP/ACAS support.
- Design and maintain virtual infrastructure using VMware ESXi and vCenter, including VM lifecycle management and host upgrades.
- Administer core Windows services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, and certificate-based authentication.
- Collaborate with Cyber Security, Networking, and Engineering teams to resolve complex infrastructure and compliance challenges.
- Support operational needs in a fully onsite DoD closed-area environment.
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience).
- Active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Proven experience configuring, administering, and hardening Windows and RHEL servers.
- Experience with VMware virtualization.
- Experience with enterprise Windows services, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting SIPRNET environments.
- Experience serving as a technical SME for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tooling such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, and STIG Viewer.
- Prior experience supporting DoD, defense, or highly regulated environments.
