Principal Systems Administrator Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration of secure, heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments to support critical classified programs
• Collaborate with program teams to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions for complex IT infrastructure problems
• Provide IT systems administration including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication methods
• Troubleshoot technical problems of moderate to high complexity involving hardware and operating system integration
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes
• Manage data RAID and backup technologies to ensure system integrity and availability in a 24x7 operational environment

Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience)
• Active and transferable U.S. government Secret security clearance required prior to start date
• Proven experience in Windows or Linux administration
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: Linux/RHEL administration, Active Directory, MECM, VMware, or enterprise recovery suites

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience administering legacy UNIX platforms such as Solaris or HP-UX
• Proficiency with NetApp storage platforms (FAS-series or ONTAP) and SAN/NAS technologies
• Experience with virtualization tools including VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards such as NISPOM, JSIG, or DoD/RMF
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, or APIs
• Experience with security tools like Tenable Nessus, Splunk, or Ivanti Security Controls
