Principal System Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute test activities from component verification to multi-hour flight tests
• Author engineering documentation for system validation, subsystem functional testing, and component acceptance
• Translate user and system requirements into traceable verification and validation strategies
• Develop testing schedules and execute test campaigns across multiple teams
• Lead test readiness reviews, data analysis, and cross-functional reviews
• Conduct failure investigations and root-cause analyses
• Partner with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to design test tools and fixtures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
• 8+ years of experience testing and developing complex systems
• Experience developing and executing system-level verification and validation plans
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US DOD Secret Security Clearance
• Familiarity with acceptance testing and quality processes in hardware systems
• Experience analyzing test data using tools such as MATLAB
• Experience performing structured root-cause analyses

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with aviation or unmanned systems
• Familiarity with DoD design review processes
• 5+ years of product development and test experience in sUAS, embedded software, or electrical systems
