Principal System Integration Lead (Quantum Hardware)

Responsibilities

• Translate quantum system requirements into implementable, scalable hardware architecture
• Own end-to-end system-level requirements decomposition into subsystem specs
• Lead cross-functional integration across facilities, photonics, electronics, and mechanical teams
• Establish and manage Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and system block diagrams
• Lead system-level trade studies and decision processes
• Create and improve integration workflows, including change control and design reviews
• Serve as a central communication hub for technical and non-technical stakeholders

Requirements

• MS in Electronics, Optics, Photonics, EE/CE, Systems Engineering, or Applied Physics with 10+ years of industry experience
• PhD in a similar field with 6+ years of industry experience
• Demonstrated experience in electronic–photonics systems (optical, electrical, thermal, mechanical, controls)
• Strong understanding of system integration principles, verification, and reliability
• Prior experience in technical lead or system lead positions
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in data-center-scale system integration
• Experience integrating systems spanning facility, hardware, and controls/software
• Familiarity with formal systems engineering tools like MBSE, DOORS, or Jama
