About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure Windows and Linux enterprise environments within a mission-critical, 24x7x365 classified setting
- Manage Windows Server, Windows 11, and RHEL 7/8/9 systems, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and STIG implementation
- Design and sustain virtual infrastructure using VMware ESXi and vCenter, including VM lifecycle management and host upgrades
- Engineer automation and deployment solutions using PowerShell, MECM/SCCM, and PXE for enterprise imaging and software deployment
- Administer core Windows services including Active Directory, Group Policy, and certificate-based authentication
- Collaborate with Cyber Security, DevSecOps, and Networking teams to resolve complex infrastructure and compliance challenges
Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience administering and securing Windows and RHEL servers
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and system hardening
- Active and in-scope Secret U.S. government security clearance
- U.S. citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a technical SME for patching, vulnerability remediation, or compliance initiatives
- Hands-on experience with MECM/SCCM, PXE boot services, and automated OS imaging
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tooling such as ACAS, SCAP, Splunk, and STIG Viewer
- Experience with NetApp storage, HPC environments, or SQL Server clustered configurations
- Experience supporting DevSecOps environments including Kubernetes and Rancher
- Ability to obtain DoD 8140/8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) within 6 months
