Principal Subcontracts

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the Supply Chain acquisition process from the proposal stage through program award and execution
• Manage subcontractor cost, schedule, and technical performance to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and affordability
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to achieve program, customer, and corporate goals
• Negotiate complex contract vehicles including Subcontracts, Teaming Agreements, NDAs, and Sole Source Agreements
• Act as a subject matter expert in project management and baseline-centric execution, including budget and forecast reviews
• Mentor team members and provide input on talent and performance management decisions
• Navigate FAR/DFARS regulations and internal procedures to ensure full compliance
• Travel up to 25% to visit suppliers nationwide

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years of related experience, OR a Graduate Degree with 10+ years of experience, OR 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree
• Proven expertise in negotiation and managing complex subcontracts (hardware, software, and services)
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Costpoint
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance
• Experience with various contract types including FFP, FPIF, T&M, Labor Hour, and Cost Reimbursement
• Experience serving as a Cost Account Manager (CAM) managing budgets and sales forecasting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
