Principal Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and input for large-scale structural engineering projects within the Property & Buildings Group.
• Manage project scope and coordinate resources to ensure technical excellence and client satisfaction.
• Promote innovative, client-focused design solutions and build an industry-leading professional profile.
• Prepare and review complex technical project reports, pursuits, and proposals.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service delivery.
• Assist in the development of strategy and delivery for key regional strategic bids.
• Mentor team members to increase technical capability and ensure high-quality solutions across Aotearoa.

Requirements

• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) in New Zealand.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Building Structures Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of structural seismic design and New Zealand earthquake engineering requirements.
• Proven experience working within a large consultancy environment.
• Demonstrated track record in delivering commercial, hospital, university, hotel, or apartment projects.
• Ability to work effectively and competently with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
