Principal Statistical Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Perform high-complexity statistical programming to support study, project, and portfolio deliverables.
• Develop, validate, and review datasets and TFLs in alignment with CDISC standards.
• Act as a lead or co-lead on selected projects, initiatives, and study deliverables.
• Guide and mentor junior programmers within the team to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders, including clinicians and statisticians, to meet project milestones.
• Manage timelines and work plans for multiple ongoing activities of moderate complexity.
• Contribute to the development and modification of existing codebases and data standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, or Regulatory Agency environment.
• Proficiency in hands-on statistical programming using SAS, R, or Python.
• Strong understanding of clinical trials, drug development processes, and data operations.
• Deep knowledge of CDISC standards and ICH/regulatory guidelines.
• Proven ability to work independently with limited oversight and manage projects across different timezones.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of at least one specific Therapeutic Area.
• Experience with both core safety standards and therapeutic area-specific standards.
