Principal Static Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage the development of equipment specifications for static equipment including tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and air fin coolers.
• Ensure technical excellence by adhering to engineering design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
• Conduct design verification, document checking, and interdisciplinary coordination activities.
• Support business development through technical proposal development, cost estimation, and discipline execution strategies.
• Provide procurement support, including bid evaluations, technical clarifications, and management of third-party vendors and packages.
• Participate in client workshops covering design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, and constructability.
• Mentor and train junior engineers while ensuring team compliance with HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge in the design and selection of rotating equipment for offshore oil and gas projects.
• Expert knowledge in pressure vessel design code ASME VIII and associated manufacturing requirements (PWHT, NDE, etc.).
• Extensive experience in the Detailed Design and EPC phases of large-scale projects.
• Advanced understanding of metallurgy specifications and the development of mechanical datasheets.
• Proven experience in procurement support and complex package management.
• Strong understanding of international codes, standards, and offshore engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on projects within the Middle East.
• Specialized expertise in project leadership and handling offshore EPC projects.
• Proficiency in specialty engineering design tools and modeling software.
