Principal Specialist, Material Program Management

Responsibilities

• Manage Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) activities for the Naval Standard Missile Systems development portfolio
• Serve as the primary interface between Supply Chain and the Program for development contracts
• Develop and implement material strategies and material forecasting
• Ensure all cost and schedule requirements are met for program success
• Evaluate metrics to monitor GSCM health and conduct supplier assessments
• Support the development of ROMs and proposals
• Drive processes to completion within aggressive delivery schedules
• Work within cross-functional teams including quality, engineering, and operations

Requirements

• University Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams
• Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required on day one
• U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• EVMS certification
• Experience managing suppliers or complex projects
• Proven ability to lead program management efforts and resolve conflicts
• Financial knowledge and experience with supplier negotiations and cost reduction
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Projects
