Principal Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own technical strategy and execution for high-value enterprise opportunities, acting as the lead for the "technical win"
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, including CTOs and Heads of AI, to guide long-term AI/LLM adoption
• Architect end-to-end solution designs from initial discovery through pilot and production phases
• Drive cross-functional alignment between Sales, Product, and Engineering to resolve complex technical challenges
• Define large, multi-phase Scopes of Work that translate ambiguous customer needs into scalable solutions
• Influence the Scale product roadmap by synthesizing customer insights and advocating for key feature developments
• Mentor Solutions Engineers and establish best practices for demos, pilots, and technical sales strategies

Requirements

• Deep technical background with significant experience in customer-facing engineering roles (pre-sales, forward-deployed, or post-sales)
• Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder technical deals with enterprise clients
• Strong expertise in systems architecture across cloud, data, and AI/ML systems
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java for prototyping and validating solutions
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present to and influence executive-level stakeholders
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across diverse, cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep experience with Generative AI and LLM applications in enterprise environments
• Background in forward-deployed engineering or building production-grade ML systems
• Experience working within regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or insurance
