Principal Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for strategic accounts, developing a deep understanding of their architecture and business goals
• Lead technical issue resolution, working with the support organization to ensure timely solutions
• Proactively drive product adoption by identifying new use cases and opportunities for value
• Consult with customers on best practices for using Solo.io products within their environment
• Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops for customers
• Act as the customer's advocate, providing feedback to product management and engineering teams
• Collaborate with the account team to manage risks and opportunities related to renewal and expansion

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Architect, SRE, or Senior Support Engineer)
• Deep expertise in cloud-native technologies including Kubernetes, service mesh (Istio), and API gateways (Envoy)
• Experience in a post-sales role focused on customer success and adoption
• Proven ability to manage technical relationships with large, strategic customers
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Go, Python, or Bash
