The company provides a unified operational layer across mainframes, data lakes, warehouses, and streaming systems, allowing enterprises to integrate AI agents across their existing data estate without massive rebuilding.
Responsibilities
- Hold design authority over NX1 deployment patterns at the customer, including contributing to architecture review boards and security reviews.
- Design and defend integration architecture across the customer's data stack, covering identity federation, CDC patterns, and data lineage.
- Identify and qualify new workloads and expansion opportunities through technical depth and stakeholder context.
- Produce high-quality design documents for architecture review boards.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for deployment issues.
- Maintain executive-level relationships with customer business and IT leadership.
- Translate architectural insights into expansion theses for Account Executives.
- Navigate vendor governance, including third-party risk reviews and audit responses.
Requirements
- 12–18 years in enterprise data/cloud architecture as an SA or principal engineer.
- Prior multi-year embedded engagement at a Tier 1 bank or equivalent regulated enterprise.
- Hands-on depth in the modern OSS data stack: Spark, Trino, Airflow, Iceberg, Kubernetes, S3, and Kafka at petabyte scale.
- Experience producing and defending design documents in front of architecture review boards.
- Proven track record of identifying expansion use cases through architectural insight.
- Willingness to be on-site in Charlotte, NC (primary) and NYC (secondary) at 80%+ cadence.
- Deep familiarity with bank IT culture, risk and control frameworks, and regulatory reporting patterns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior embedded experience in a highly regulated industry as a vendor SA.
- Hands-on experience with regulatory reporting pipelines, AML/KYC, or treasury and liquidity workloads.
- Open-source contributions to Iceberg, Spark, Trino, or Airflow.
- Conference presence at Subsurface, Trino Summit, or Airflow Summit.
