Principal Solutions Architect

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure AWS environments using the Well-Architected framework
• Implement and manage core AWS services including VPC, EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS
• Architect and operate containerized workloads using Amazon EKS
• Implement AWS IAM roles and policies based on the principle of least privilege
• Champion and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Develop and optimize robust CI/CD pipelines to integrate security best practices
• Develop custom automation scripts using Python, Go, or Bash focusing on APIs
• Provide guidance to development teams as a cloud subject matter expert
• Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate and recommend cloud-native technologies

Requirements

• 10 years of experience with cloud technologies
• Expert-level proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform
• Deep experience with Amazon EKS and container orchestration
• Strong command of AWS IAM and security best practices
• Proven experience building automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline)
• Solid understanding of cloud networking and Linux/Unix administration
• Proficiency with Git and modern GitOps
• Active TS/SCI federal security clearance
• Must possess and maintain required DoD 8140 certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VMware vSphere in a hybrid cloud context
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible
• Familiarity with Azure or GCP
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Understanding of OIDC, OAuth2, LDAP, and SAML
• AWS Solutions Architect - Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or HashiCorp Terraform certification
