Principal Solution Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end upstream solution design and ensure overall solution integrity across releases, value streams, and functional domains
• Provide architecture governance and assurance by guiding architecture reviews and design escalations
• Ensure adherence to internal architecture policies, standards, and architectural patterns
• Partner with Product Management, Program Management, and Business teams to align designs with business outcomes
• Influence release sequencing, scope prioritization, and solution simplification to reduce cost and delivery risk
• Provide technical direction and accountability across system integrators and vendor architects
• Act as a design authority when vendor recommendations diverge from the target architecture

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in ERP/SAP solution architecture and end-to-end design for large, complex transformation programs
• Proven experience delivering SAP S/4HANA solution architecture, including fit-to-standard and clean-core/extension strategy decisions
• Demonstrated expertise in Upstream Oil & Gas business processes and end-to-end scenarios
• Strong experience with architecture governance, including leading design reviews and enforcing standards
• Ability to design and assure complex enterprise ecosystems across SAP and non-SAP platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on functional and solution architecture experience in SAP S/4HANA Asset Management/EAM
• Experience with upstream-focused SAP solutions and integration to field/operations systems
• Demonstrated experience establishing "clean core" practices using SAP BTP and standard APIs
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms, including event-based integration and API management
• Experience with ERP data architecture, master data governance, and analytics
• SAP or architecture certifications such as TOGAF
