Principal Software Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced, cost-effective test methods to verify system requirements for new and existing products
• Define and maintain comprehensive test standards and specifications for software components and products
• Analyze complex test results and failure trends to diagnose root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions
• Partner with internal engineering and quality teams to resolve high-impact test issues and ensure robust test readiness
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers regarding test design, data interpretation, and problem-solving

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
• 15–20+ years of experience in test engineering, product validation, or manufacturing test development
• Strong background in both Software and Hardware environments
• Proficiency in scripting languages including BASH, TCL, and Python
• Ability to read and interpret datasheets and schematics
• Extensive experience in test automation and test compliance matrices
• US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Active security clearance is preferred
• Expert-level capability in designing test systems, fixtures, and diagnostic programs
• Proven success in resolving systemic test failures and implementing robust corrective actions
