Principal Software Systems Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure digital products adhere to contractual requirements through compliance evaluation
• Perform independent evaluations and risk assessments across the software lifecycle
• Facilitate root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process issues
• Identify, collect, and measure software quality attributes, metrics, and data
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality functions to ensure technical data integrity
• Provide guidance to senior leadership, team members, and group peers
• Leverage Agile and DevSecOps methodologies to improve software development processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• 8 years of relevant quality or engineering experience
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Experience with at least eight of the following: Compliance Evaluation, Requirements Verification, Release Management, Test Witnessing, Software Processes, Defect Management, Records Management, Integration Knowledge, Maintenance Processes, or Technology Knowledge
• Proven experience in project leadership, coordination, and execution
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD)
• Ability to create and present briefings to Senior Management

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field
• Familiarity with quality standards such as AS9115, AS9100, or ISO9001
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with business and technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with DevSecOps toolchains (Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.)
• Experience with modeling or database tools (DOORS, RQM, Cameo, Oracle, etc.)
• Professional certifications in Quality, Software/Systems Engineering, Agile, or Project Management
