Principal Software Lead Engineer - Embedded Communications

Responsibilities

• Drive embedded software engineering excellence using C/C++ and Python across all development phases
• Lead technical proposals and provide detailed program-level cost estimations during the bid cycle
• Manage software execution for small teams, ensuring technical quality and alignment with schedule
• Translate complex customer requirements into scalable, end-to-end system solutions
• Track and communicate program performance metrics including cost, schedule, and risk via earned value management
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks to maintain project success

Requirements

• Active and transferable U.S. government SECRET security clearance required on day 1
• U.S. citizenship is required
• STEM degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience (or Advanced Degree with 5 years of experience)
• Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM) over a team of engineers
• Experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for multi-year programs
• Experience with Risk/Opportunity frameworks for managing complex program execution
• Experience with Product Owner duties, including scope and backlog management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-threaded real-time embedded applications
• Experience leading proposals using the SEER parametric estimation tool
• Proficiency with Agile development methodologies and technical leadership in agile frameworks
• Experience in TCP/IP network applications development and UML
• Knowledge of cross-domain solutions
