Principal Software Engineering Manager - AI Engineering

Responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, and grow a high-performing full-stack AI engineering team
• Define the vision across the stack including model architectures, services, and data pipelines
• Drive the design and deployment of LLM and SLM based architectures and agentic systems
• Own outcomes end-to-end from data ingestion to APIs and product surfaces
• Partner closely with Product Management to align engineering designs with requirements
• Establish best practices for experimentation, model evaluation, and observability
• Set clear goals, manage roadmaps, and deliver outcomes that move product metrics
• Stay engaged with the cybersecurity landscape to address real-world challenges

Requirements

• 10+ years in data science, applied ML, and AI engineering
• 3+ years leading cross-functional teams shipping AI-powered products
• Proven track record building AI systems (foundation models, RAG, fine-tuning, GenAI)
• Strong hands-on background in ML/DL modeling and statistical analysis
• Experience leading across the stack (data engineering, ML, and backend services)
• Expertise in Python and the modern data/ML stack
• Proficiency designing on AWS
• Experience with model serving, MLOps, and vector search
• Track record of mentoring and developing senior IC talent

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in cybersecurity, fraud, or adversarial domains
• MS or PhD in CS, ML, or a related field
• Publications in GenAI or NLP
