Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver agentic systems that implement sense, think, and act loops
• Drive the engineering organization toward multi-step, autonomous workflows
• Define standards for AI-assisted development, including code generation and prompt engineering
• Establish standards for AI-native systems regarding non-determinism, state management, and observability
• Design and deliver reusable frameworks and integration patterns to reduce development costs
• Remain a hands-on practitioner by writing clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and operations to drive AI-native practices

Requirements

• 12+ years of related experience with a B.S., or 8+ years with an M.S. in Computer Science
• Proven experience building and delivering complex, production-grade software systems
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems and multi-step autonomous workflows
• Deep practical knowledge of LLM integration, including context management and tool use
• Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud-native environments and CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated track record of setting technical direction at a Principal or senior IC level

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering at least one production agentic system with demonstrable business impact
• Experience building platform or framework-level tooling for other engineering teams
• Background in financial services technology, wealth management, or trading systems
