Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead modernization efforts for inherited systems
• Evaluate and implement SaaS, low-code/no-code platforms
• Collaborate with business, product, and technology leaders to align technical solutions with strategic goals
• Drive rapid prototyping and iterative development
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of innovation and ownership
• Set the technical vision and establish engineering standards
• Ensure high levels of customer service and quality

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience
• Proven experience in cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Expertise in serverless and event-driven design
• Strong understanding of SaaS, low-code/no-code, and Gen AI tools
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering efforts and influence cross-functional teams
• Experience modernizing legacy systems
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Track record of delivering secure, scalable, and performant systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Full-stack development experience (backend, frontend, Cloud, Infrastructure)
• Familiarity with distributed messaging (Kafka, Kinesis) and caching (Redis, ElastiCache)
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in startup environments or fast-paced product development
• Experience in media, entertainment, or digital platforms
