Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test software for core mission capabilities within complex avionics architectures
• Work on mission computing, tactical & mission data links, displays, electronic warfare, and aircraft sensor integration
• Develop software for communications, navigation, and weapon systems to deliver real-time operational functionality
• Apply technical principles to develop and test software products in a high-performing multi-site team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
• 8+ years of C/C++ development experience
• Experience in mission systems software architecture, design, and integration
• Experience with real-time embedded systems using C/C++
• Experience with mission systems such as tactical data links, aircraft sensors, or electronic warfare
• Ability to work onsite 100% in Fort Worth, TX or Palmdale, CA
• Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to travel 10%

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket)
• Experience with real-time operating systems and deterministic scheduling
• Knowledge of networked and distributed systems under bandwidth/latency constraints
• Awareness of secure communications and crypto interface (COMSEC)
• Experience with mission systems and OMS/MOSA integration
