Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the development of embedded flight software capabilities for an advanced missile platform
• Lead the design and integration of mission-critical software in high-performance, real-time environments
• Develop, integrate, and test software products using technical principles and theories
• Collaborate with multi-site teams, program development, and deployment teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience
• Experience developing embedded software in C/C++
• Experience with I&T integration and test
• Experience with Full Lifecycle Software Development
• Experience with Flight Software (FSW) engineering
• Proficiency with Linux and Windows development environments
• Active Secret Clearance
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Huntsville, AL
• Ability to travel 10%

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket)
• Proficiency in Python development
• Familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools like Cameo or AADL
• Experience with Digital Simulation Development and integration
• Experience with safety-critical software development (DO-178C)
• Experience with Navigation, Guidance and Control Implementation
• Experience with Signal Processing Implementation
