Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Design, code, and modify complex software systems and algorithms
• Lead and oversee multiple software development teams
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
• Perform quality control on team products and ensure adherence to design requirements
• Research and evaluate software tools and technologies including FOSS, GOTS, and COTS
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning
• Interact with project customers and stakeholders to report status and manage requirements

Requirements

• TS/SCI with a Polygraph
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or 4 years additional SWE experience)
• 15 years of applicable design and development experience
• 12 years of direct experience leading software design and development teams for collection systems
• ITILv3 Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python and scripting
• CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitLab, or Code Pipeline)
• AWS expertise
• API Integration experience
• Algorithm development experience
