About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive technical excellence by analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and debugging complex software enhancements for Charles River IMS modules
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create sustainable software solutions for complex problems
- Provide thought leadership in product architecture design and advise senior management on technical strategy
- Develop and implement software using Java, C#, SQL, or JavaScript while staying current with emerging technologies
- Conduct code reviews, write unit and automation tests, and perform manual testing to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting for mission-critical client implementations
- Mentor junior and senior staff and assist team leaders in the agile scrum process, including sprint planning and backlog grooming
Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
- Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working within an Agile development methodology
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot Microservices and cloud environment deployment
- Strong understanding of microservice architectures and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and message-based systems
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and relational databases (RDBMS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a technical field
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in financial services, specifically in Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management
