Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own the backend services and distributed systems behind the data discovery platform
• Lead the architecture of complex, high-scale systems balancing performance and reliability
• Develop and operate cost-efficient services on major cloud platforms
• Write clean, production-grade, and testable code
• Drive reliability and observability of services and resolve difficult production issues
• Apply GenAI and AI-assisted techniques to product features and engineering workflows
• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers to strengthen technical depth

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with production backend and distributed systems
• Strong programming skills, preferably in Python
• Deep experience designing and scaling distributed systems and APIs
• Proven track record in high-throughput, data-intensive systems
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Experience running services in AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in data protection, privacy, or security domains
• Experience building or integrating GenAI or LLM-powered functionality in production
• Familiarity with observability, monitoring, and load testing of large-scale systems
• Exposure to AI-assisted or agentic workflows for engineering productivity
