Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex platform services and shared components.
• Own key technical decisions and drive design reviews to ensure scalability, security, and performance.
• Establish engineering standards for API consistency, testing strategies, and observability.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and technical leadership.
• Drive reliability improvements through SLO/SLI management, capacity planning, and automation.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering practices to accelerate design, implementation, and testing.
• Partner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure secure-by-design implementations.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience building and operating distributed services in production environments.
• Strong system design skills, including data modeling and API design.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a required security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with IAM-related service design, including token-based authentication and authorization enforcement.
• Experience building user provisioning, entitlement services, or audit logging workflows.
• Knowledge of secure platform patterns such as secrets management and defense-in-depth.
• Cloud experience, specifically with OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP, including containerization and orchestration.
