Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and scaling of the Command Center using React, Golang, and Python to support massive fleet growth
• Own the architectural interface between cloud-based deployment services and on-vehicle hardware
• Oversee development of C++ and Python services for mission-critical robotics hardware updates
• Design and implement organization-wide standards for automated testing, CI/CD safety, and release orchestration
• Architect commercial-ready fleet tools decoupled from legacy R&D dependencies
• Provide technical mentorship to Staff and Senior engineers across Cloud, Robotics, and Embedded teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience leading major technical initiatives
• Expert-level proficiency in Golang and Python for backend services
• Strong technical depth in C++ with experience in hardware-software communication or IoT protocols
• Experience designing systems using event-driven architecture (EDA)
• Strong experience with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Solid understanding of containerization and Infrastructure-as-Code principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Autonomous Vehicle, Robotics, or large-scale IoT/Fleet Management industries
• Experience leading technical projects in a globally distributed team
• Experience with OLAP databases such as ClickHouse
• Experience building observability tools for monitoring and tracing
• Expertise in CI/CD orchestration and build systems like Bazel
