Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define and drive long-term technical strategy across multiple teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
• Lead the design and delivery of complex, high-impact software systems while managing technical ambiguity.
• Architect and maintain robust, flexible platforms that support evolving business needs and future growth.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to influence product roadmaps and ensure scalable, customer-centric solutions.
• Mentor and guide engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Champion best practices in software development, testing strategies, and system health monitoring.
• Proactively identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, delivering large-scale, multi-team technical initiatives.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Scala, C#, C++, or Python.
• Deep expertise in building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Extensive experience with relational (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
