About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain engineering infrastructure, tools, and services that power the CI/CD for Microsoft Learning platforms.
- Develop sophisticated software features, including architecture, application design, and database design, while leveraging AI and Copilot features to enhance user experience.
- Lead the implementation of scalable and secure solutions, enforcing high standards for code quality, performance, and service reliability.
- Mentor junior software engineers and contribute to internal technical communities through documentation and skill-building sessions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions to millions of learners.
- Drive the identification of technical dependencies and develop design documents for complex security and platform features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6+ years of technical engineering experience with proficiency in languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Proven full-stack development skills including experience with microservices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with cloud development and infrastructure-as-code (ARM or Bicep).
- Experience designing and shipping AI/ML or Generative AI solutions (e.g., RAG, LLM orchestration, or vector retrieval).
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in cloud development patterns, specifically loosely coupled architectures and DevOps models.
- Deep expertise in the Azure ecosystem, including App Service, AKS, Functions, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB.
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, and .NET.
- Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure for cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Advanced degree (Master's) in Computer Science or a related field.
