Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex, scalable, and reusable Java frameworks using Spring Boot.
• Spend at least 80% of time on hands-on coding, designing, reviewing, and troubleshooting.
• Architect and govern agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed and code quality.
• Lead the creation and adoption of coding patterns and best practices across the development community.
• Architect and implement robust, secure, and high-performance frameworks for both cloud (AWS) and on-premises environments.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define integration strategies and technical solutions aligned with business goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Java (Core Java & EE) and Spring Boot (including Spring Cloud, Security, and AI).
• Proven experience building performant microservices for cloud (AWS) and on-premises deployments.
• Proficiency in relational databases, including SQL, data modeling, and high availability architectures.
• Hands-on experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native development (AWS Lambda, ECS, S3), and DevOps practices.
• Demonstrated experience designing and leading the adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of API design, development, and enterprise-grade security.
• Experience in AI Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Applied AI.
• Experience with high availability development and architectural practices.
• Proficiency with Agile development processes and tools like JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, and Maven.
