Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design frameworks
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging
• Advise cross-functional teams on technological matters within your domain of expertise
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the function
• Create durable, reusable software frameworks leveraged across teams and functions
• Influence leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams
• Champion a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Requirements

• 10+ years of applied software engineering experience
• Proficiency in Java/J2EE and REST APIs
• Experience with Spring Framework and AWS Services (S3, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Dynamo DB)
• Experience with Kafka streaming and Microservices
• Advanced experience with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or ExtJS
• Practical cloud-native experience
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• Ability to effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certification
• Experience in performance testing, tuning, and shift-left practices
