Principal Software Engineer (Java Full Stack with Kafka)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust server-side logic and APIs using Java and Spring.
• Design and implement responsive, user-centric web interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Integrate front-end and back-end components to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and SDETs, within a Scrum environment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes, and troubleshoot issues across the entire technology stack.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of related software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java/Spring for back-end development.
• Strong front-end skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue).
• Experience with database management using SQL (Oracle, Snowflake) and NoSQL (Redis).
• Hands-on experience with messaging technologies like Apache Kafka or IBM MQ.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Understanding of security best practices, such as OWASP Top 10.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
