Principal Software Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative highly available distributed platforms and pipelines
• Enhance the overall Snowflake data infrastructure
• Lead and drive projects from idea formulation to design, implementation, and productionization
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, engineering teams, and data science organizations
• Provide strong technical leadership to the team and partner teams
• Enable analytics capabilities for data science, business, and engineering groups

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in distributed systems
• Experience in data warehouse or data infrastructure software development
• Proven track record of delivering large scale and resilient distributed systems and services
• Extensive development experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong hands-on skills in complex system design and implementation
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related major, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Machine Learning (ML)
