Principal Software Engineer - DevSecOps Embedded Communications

Responsibilities

• Develop complex automation pipelines for embedded systems in air-gapped environments
• Automate security testing and vulnerability scanning using SAST/DAST tools
• Build and maintain containerized environments and applications
• Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure consistent and scalable infrastructure
• Evaluate, select, and integrate cutting-edge DevSecOps tools and technologies
• Build and maintain dashboards for observability and performance reporting
• Mentor and advocate for DevSecOps best practices across the organization
• Collaborate with cross-functional product development teams to deliver innovative solutions

Requirements

• Advanced programming expertise in Bash and Python
• Proficiency with GitLab and GitLab Runners
• Experience with containerization tools such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
• Advanced experience in Linux environments
• Proficiency with JFrog Artifactory or equivalent artifact management tools
• Solid working knowledge of IP networking and protocols
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (Secret)
• STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 5+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing in air-gapped, on-premises environments
• Familiarity with BitBucket, Bamboo, or Atlassian tools in Agile teams
• Hands-on experience with configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet) and IaC (Terraform)
• Knowledge of observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, or Rust
• Strong Linux administration skills
