Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and architecture of industry-leading modern storage platforms
• Take part in the full software development life cycle, including development, test, continuous delivery, and maintenance
• Create detailed technical designs for new features and improvements and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Perform discovery tasks and proof of concepts regarding modern networking solutions
• Implement company standards and practices to ensure high quality and security
• Coach and mentor junior team members within a modern, scrum-based engineering organization

Requirements

• 8+ years of related software engineering experience
• Exceptional programming skills with proficiency in C and/or Python
• Excellent understanding of modern Linux, including the kernel, drivers, containers, and early boot
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks from design to implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with storage systems
• Knowledge of networking technologies such as Ethernet or InfiniBand
• Experience working effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment
