Principal Software Engineer, Delivery Platform

Responsibilities

• Build next-generation ads formats and backend infrastructure to drive value and conversion for advertisers
• Work end-to-end across product innovation, experimentation, analysis, and optimization
• Collaborate across teams to evaluate trade-offs and deliver solutions for Snap’s performance advertising suite
• Advocate for best practices regarding availability, scalability, operational excellence, and cost management
• Provide technical direction and influence that spans the entire company

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of post-Bachelor's software development experience
• 2+ years of experience in technical leadership or acting as a domain expert for a technical organization
• Proven experience architecting, designing, and developing distributed systems
• Strong programming, software design, and debugging skills
• Ads domain expertise and a strong interest in the advertising industry

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects in attribution and measurement
• Experience operating highly-available systems at significant scale
• Deep experience with backend services and distributed systems
