Principal Software Engineer, Continuous Integration

Responsibilities

• Invent tools and processes that enable fast, correct software development
• Integrate and troubleshoot across the Starship software stack
• Design, maintain, and improve on-premises compute for CI
• Identify bottlenecks and deliver solutions end to end

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, math, or STEM; or equivalent experience
• Experience with Bazel or similar build systems
• Fluency in Python, C++, Rust, or Go
• Ability to work in a high-autonomy, high-responsibility environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building tools used by hundreds of engineers
• Interest in AI-assisted development tools
• Strong critical thinking and first-principles problem solving
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
