About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and evolution of a multi-threaded embedded C++ product codebase
  • Spearhead the design and development of advanced embedded cryptographic solutions and communications products
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, oversee implementation, and drive verification and certification processes
  • Mentor and empower software developers to cultivate a high-performing engineering culture
  • Shape products to enhance the security and reliability of critical military communications systems

Requirements

  • STEM degree and minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Extensive experience in embedded C and C++ software development and integration
  • Proven experience working with complex multi-threaded product software codebases
  • Experience with standard full lifecycle software development practices and configuration management tools
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of embedded security software development and cryptographic algorithm implementation
  • Proficiency in Linux development environments, including mutexes, semaphores, and inter-process communication
  • Experience with Python scripting and IP networking protocols
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies
  • Ability to lead teams and manage projects through the full software lifecycle
